Congratulations to 'Libby' for her winning entry in the Official freybird.blogspot.com Name My Bike Contest! My bike is now named 'Smurf'.

As the grand prize winner, Libby will get a free freybird.blogspot.com t-shirt. Also, she will have life-time bragging rights as the namer of the most beautiful bike ever created!
'Smurf' is a reference to one of my first bikes, a tricycle I owned when I was only about 3 or 4. It was a little Smurf themed tricycle with a plastic smurf head right on the front of the handlebars. This tricycle met a humorous death, a story that Libby herself is a key player in. If she wants, Libby can tell this story in the comments section of this post. I liked this name because it reminding me of my early love for cycling, and because my new bike really does look like a smurf.

Thank you to all participants. It was a difficult job to choose only one winner!

Also, I have noticed that some fans are attempting to invent their own contests, such as the 'bumper sticker contest'. You can't invent your own contest to try to win just because you are upset you didn't win this official contest.
