I did my third big outdoor long run. The first was that 10-miler 2 weeks ago, the second was the recovery week 6.5 miler. Yesterday, I murdered an 11 miler.

The run was 11.1 miles in 1:43. By the time I cooled down with a light jog and walk, I had done 12 miles. Well done, Frey. I had no achilles problems whatsoever.

This was a huge training session, possibly one of the most significant of the entire program so far. I was really pooped yesterday after work. My muscles were ready to go, but my mind was fried. I was very tempted to cut this run. I told my mind to shut up, and I got out there and ran. It took me to about mile 5 before I started feeling good. Once those endorphines hit, I was floating on a cloud all the way home. This run was so significant, because sometimes I let my mind psych me out. By murdering this run with a tired mind, I will be less likely to get psyched out next time I feel mentally tired but physically fresh.

Frey

when you were 2 1/2 years old you ran in your first race, you and dad did 1 mile in Brian's Run here in West Chester, i ran with Mike,

so you had an early start, we had not planned on you running, thinking you were too young, but once you got there and saw the runners you were pumped to go

poor dad, he had not planned on running the mile, but as dad is inclined, he would do anything you asked, will uppload the picture later today

nice story, libs,

It is so good to hear about someone who actually fixed a body ache, good news on your achillies Frey. Keep up the good work, nothing better than being pain free and running wild!
